To ensure that you can recover your Stream Deck profiles quickly in case of any data loss, it is essential to create regular backups of your profiles. In this article, we will discuss how you can easily back up all of your profiles using the Elgato Stream Deck Software, and we will also explain the steps to restore them if necessary.
Backup All Profiles
- Open the Stream Deck software and click on Preferences.
- In the Preferences window, select the Profiles tab.
- Click on the down arrow located below your list of install profiles to open the menu
- From the menu, select Backup All and click Create Backup…
- In the File Explorer, choose a name and a location where you want the backup to be saved.
- Click Save
Restoring Backup Profiles
- Locate your backup file with the extension .streamDeckProfilesBackup
- Double-click on the backup file to open it.
- The Stream Deck software will open and ask if you are sure you want to restore from backup (This action will overwrite any existing profiles on all of your Stream Deck devices).
- Click Restore
